U-center is a specialized treatment center for national and international clients with multiple psychological problems. Clients choose U-center on their own initiative and are highly motivated to get started. They are offered a unique treatment concept, with the goal of regaining their role in society as quickly as possible. In order to make the "U-turn," U-center offers a 6-week treatment period in the clinic, after which the client is ready to go home and an 8-week outpatient program follows upon indication.

Our treatment center is located in the beautiful South Limburg hills and the communication center is located in the beautiful wooded area of Driebergen. The unique location of both locations contributes significantly to the work happiness of our employees.

About the position

As a clinical psychologist at U-center, you have a key role in guiding clients with complex problems toward recovery and independence. In addition to your primary duties as a clinical psychologist, you will also fulfill the role of acting practice trainer, contributing to the development of our training policy.
Duties as a clinical psychologist:

- Within the medical team, as a clinical psychologist you will provide support to a number of teams in the treatment of clients. You also support in the field of diagnostics, intakes and indication and you are responsible, together with the psychiatrists and doctors, for handling and dealing with crisis situations that arise during the treatment of our clients.

- You are part of the medical team and this usually consists of about 12 staff members, each with their own discipline such as: physical therapist, drama therapist, sociotherapist, therapeutic assistant, (basic) psychologist, GZ-psychologist and/or psychotherapist, nursing specialist and a psychiatrist.

- Participate in the (daily) multidisciplinary meetings of the Dutch and/or International treatment teams together with the physicians, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists and nursing specialists of the medical team.

- Participate in innovation projects and, together with your colleagues, develop new forms of care offerings and have the opportunity to participate in scientific research.

- Demonstrate clinical leadership: you take the reigns, you are a sparring partner for your colleagues and you contribute to the substantive development of the team by offering internal courses/expertise in your field.

Duties as acting practice trainer:

- In this role, you will replace the practice trainer in his or her absence, but also act as a sparring partner. Together you will think about shaping the practical part of the training programs for clinical psychologist and GZ psychologist.

- You will work with the practice trainer to promote and ensure an innovative training and research environment within U-center.

- In addition, you will contribute to training supervision by providing work supervision.

About you

- You are BIG-registered as a clinical psychologist.
Minimum 3 years of work experience as a BIG-registered clinical psychologist.

- Ability to articulate and represent the importance of educating (both for U-center and healthcare in general).

- Expertise in providing supervision and/or work supervision.

- Enjoys building effective treatment offerings and thinking along in optimization.

- Good communication skills. You can also manage well in the English language.

What we offer you

The CAO GGZ applies to this position. The salary is minimum 6,583 euro and maximum 9,143 euro gross per month based on full-time employment. U-Center offers a fixed contract for minimum 24 and maximum 36 hours per week, flexibility in hours is negotiable. A nice benefits package is also part of the offer. This includes an appropriate training budget, a year-end bonus (8.33%), a life-phase budget, travel allowance and a good pension plan through PFZW.
