About U-center
'Everyone can move forward,' is the motto of our treatment model.
U-center is a specialized treatment center for national and international clients with multiple psychological problems. Clients choose U-center on their own initiative and are highly motivated to get started. They are offered a unique treatment concept, with the goal of regaining their role in society as quickly as possible. In order to make the "U-turn," U-center offers a 6-week treatment period in the clinic, after which the client is ready to go home and an 8-week outpatient program follows upon indication.
Our treatment center is located in the beautiful South Limburg hills and the communication center is located in the beautiful wooded area of Driebergen. The unique location of both locations contributes significantly to the work happiness of our employees.
About the position clinical psychologist
As a clinical psychologist:
- Within the medical team, as a (directional) practitioner, you offer support to a number of teams in the treatment of clients. You also support in the field of diagnostics, intakes and indication, and together with the psychiatrists and doctors you are responsible for handling and dealing with crisis situations that occur during the treatment of our clients.
- You will be part of the medical team and this usually consists of about 12 staff members, each with their own discipline, such as: physical therapist, drama therapist, sociotherapist, therapeutic assistant, (basic) psychologist, GZ-psychologist and/or psychotherapist, nursing specialist and a psychiatrist.
- Participate in the (daily) multidisciplinary meetings of the Dutch and/or International treatment teams together with the physicians, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists and nursing specialists of the medical team.
- Demonstrate clinical leadership: you take charge, you are a sparring partner for your colleagues and you contribute to the content development of the team by offering internal courses/expertise in your field.
- Participate in innovation projects and, together with your colleagues, develop new forms of care offerings and have the opportunity to participate in scientific research.
- Supervise and/or offer supervision to colleagues (in training as) clinical psychologist, psychotherapist and GZ psychologist.
About you
- You are a BIG-registered clinical psychologist with treatment experience within the mental health field.
- You have an affinity for psychotherapy and can work well with colleagues working multiple teams and.
- You are stress resistant, flexible and strong in handling crisis situations.
- You recognize yourself in the core values of U-center: thoughtful, daring, confident, driven and high quality.
- You communicate strongly and efficiently (orally and in writing) in Dutch and/or English.
- You have good social skills and strong empathy.
- You can motivate and encourage colleagues and clients during treatments.
- You ensure that contacts with clients are supportive and protective, aimed at establishing insight and behavioral change.
