U-center hosts first webinar

U-center organiseert eerste webinar

Last week for the first time, U-center held a webinar for potential clients and other interested parties. The webinar was designed to give people orienting themselves to treatment insight into the treatment approaches for different diagnoses and their effects.

It is also suitable for anyone who would like to learn more about U-center or about mental health problems and dependency in general. Presenter was Ingrid Weijnen, director of innovation & development and gz-psychologist/psychotherapist.

What is a webinar?

A webinar is an event on the Internet where only an online audience is present. The participant receives a link in his or her e-mail and clicks on this link on date and time when the webinar is given. Then there is a live connection. Participants follow the webinar online from behind their PC, Mac, tablet or smartphone. They see or hear the speaker(s) via video and audio. In addition to the video image, PowerPoint slides are shown. These run synchronously with the entire presentation. Interaction is possible via chat, among other things.

Why does U-center do this?

Through a webinar, potential clients (national and international) and healthcare professionals (including referrers) can quickly learn more about U-center. They do not have to drive to a certain place, but can follow the webinar from wherever he or she wants and ask questions about U-center fairly anonymously. There is also the option of recording the webinar so that (parts of) the presentation can be viewed or shared.

Will there be more webinars?

We think so! We will evaluate the August 22 webinar together partly based on forms that participants filled out online yesterday. Besides possibly introducing webinars, we will keep the physical information meetings (in Epen, Driebergen, The Hague, Amsterdam, Zwolle and Leeuwarden) for the time being.
