If you are considering treatment at U-center, it is important to understand how your health insurance covers the costs. In many cases treatment can be reimbursed, but the level of coverage depends on your country of residence and the terms of your insurance policy.
U-center also frequently treats US NATO personnel and affiliated contractors who are on active duty at military and airforce bases around Europe, for example in Belgium, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. The health insurance costs for NATO personnel and family members are covered by:
Due to our central location on mainland Europe, U-center often treats professionals and expat clients who work for multinationals around Europe, and in particular from Belgium and Luxembourg. Some of our clients, for example, work for companies in Brussels, or are civil servants working for the European institutions. Others work in the financial sector in Luxembourg and Switzerland. The following insurers cover treatment at U-center in full or in part. Whether you need to pay a premium depends on your insurance.
Every Luxembourg citizen is eligible for treatment at U-center. The costs are fully covered by:

In the Netherlands, mental health care (Geestelijke Gezondheidszorg or GGZ) is covered by the basic health insurance. This means that treatment at U-center will mainly be covered by your health insurance, excluding your personal own risk, and a contribution for additional activities and services.

In addition to insured care, we offer additional facilities and services aimed at wellbeing, relaxation and supporting recovery. These are not covered by health insurance.
The range of additional activities and services includes various sessions focused on wellbeing, body-oriented work, movement, creativity and relaxation. Examples include breathing-focused sessions, relaxation or physical exercises, creative activities, and group sessions aimed at mental and physical balance.

A supplementary contribution of €5,000* applies to these activities and services. This contribution is an integral part of the clinical programme. These activities and facilities are included in the overall treatment programme. The associated costs are not reimbursed by health insurance.
If desired, we also provide support with reintegration. As a result, employers are often willing to reimburse these costs partially or fully.
*This contribution is indexed annually to ensure the quality of care, services and facilities. Indexation is implemented on January 1st of each new year.
